Nestled amongst fruit trees, walnut groves and rolling hills lies Villa Puymerle, an impressive French country house in a truly spectacular location in the Corrèze, close to the Dordogne.

The arrival alone is an experience. Via a winding country lane you reach a long driveway, lined with fruit trees. Once on the private grounds you pass a centuries-old barn, after which Puymerle reveals itself in all its glory. With its high gables, characteristic turrets and authentic character, the country house almost resembles a small French château in places.

And then there is the view. From the house and terraces you look out over an endless landscape of green hills, forests and scattered farmhouses.
Inside awaits a warm and charming interior with gleaming old wooden floors, beautiful furnishings, spacious rooms and comfortable bedrooms.

🌿 Outdoor living – Swimming pool and terraces
Directly alongside the country house lies an elongated terrace, accessible from the open-plan kitchen. A wonderful spot for an extensive breakfast, a good glass of wine or simply to enjoy the beautiful landscape in complete peace.

Slightly lower in the garden is the enclosed private swimming pool of 10 x 5 metres, surrounded by lavender bushes and a spacious sun terrace with loungers and parasols. The swimming pool is not heated, but has a sliding cover that helps retain the warmth of the water. This means the swimming pool can be pleasant earlier in the season, depending on the weather.
Via the large lawn you walk to an atmospheric covered terrace with a spacious dining table and barbecue. A little further on, amongst the fruit trees, there is another picnic table in a wonderfully quiet spot.

The extensive grounds offer plenty of space to play, walk, relax or play table tennis. Old trees provide natural shade.

Inside, Villa Puymerle also has its own distinctive character. The country house has been carefully restored, with the original charm beautifully preserved. The gleaming wooden floors, high-ceilinged rooms, characterful details and carefully chosen furniture give the house a warm, stylish appearance.

The heart of the house is the spacious open-plan kitchen-living area, with an impressive gas cooker. The kitchen is extensively equipped with, amongst other things, an American-style fridge and modern kitchen appliances. There is also a long dining table for 8 to 10 people.
Adjacent is the lounge with comfortable leather sofas, an elegant French velvet sofa and French doors leading to the terrace. There is a flat-screen TV with satellite reception.

🛏️ Bedrooms & bathrooms – Comfortable accommodation for 12 people
Villa Puymerle has five spacious, tastefully furnished bedrooms and three bathrooms. The comfortable beds and flexible sleeping arrangements make the house particularly suitable for families and groups of friends.

Ground floor
Bedroom 1: king-size double bed (180 x 200 cm), en-suite bathroom with shower and sink. Separate toilet. Own, compact living room with kitchenette.

First floor
Bedroom 2: double bed (160 cm), bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
Bedroom 3: three single beds (90 cm), which can optionally be arranged as a double bed (180 cm) and a single bed. En-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 4: three single beds (90 cm), which can optionally be arranged as a double bed (180 cm) and a single bed.
Bedroom 5: two single beds, which can optionally be arranged as a double bed (180 cm).

📍 Location & surroundings – Discover the Corrèze and the Dordogne valley
Puymerle is located in one of the most beautiful rural areas of South-West France, in the Corrèze, close to the border with the Lot department and only a few kilometres from the Dordogne river.
The surroundings are characterised by rolling hills, extensive forests, walnut orchards, fruit trees and charming French villages. Here you can still discover the quiet French countryside life, with small markets, cosy terraces, local restaurants and beautiful routes through nature.
Within a short distance you will find, among others, Puybrun, Vayrac and the particularly atmospheric Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, with its historic streets, beautiful buildings and cosy terraces by the river.
The Dordogne offers plenty of opportunities for an active holiday day. Think of canoeing, swimming, picnicking by the river or discovering the picturesque villages along the water.
Lovers of walking, cycling, nature and golf will also find plenty to enjoy in this region. And after a day full of discoveries, it's wonderful to return to Villa Puymerle, where the view, the peace and quiet and the space make an impression every time.
