Introducing Myself
Welcome to Villa Vakantiewoningen! I’m Saskia Friso, owner of Villa.nl, and I have been passionate about Southern France for many years. Not just because of its breathtaking landscapes and charming villages, but also because I spend a large part of my time here. My partner is French, lives and works in Provence, and owns vineyards in Occitanie.
From April to June and from late August to late October, I travel extensively to discover the most beautiful holiday homes, meet owners, and capture the atmosphere of each place. Photography is my passion, and recently I’ve started filming with our drone. There’s nothing better than setting off with my camera and drone, finding hidden gems, and capturing special locations.
And then there’s Tango, my partner’s boxer, whom I often look after when I’m in France. We love taking long walks, but what he secretly enjoys the most? Driving with the roof open! At first, he was a little nervous, but now he absolutely loves it – and I have plenty of photos and videos to prove it.
Writing a blog is new to me, but I love sharing stories about hidden spots, French markets, and the villas I work with. I often hit the brakes when something catches my eye: an ancient olive mill, a driveway leading to a wine château, or simply a breathtaking view.
